Speed Cement Ltd

SPEED ALUMIXX

Concrete additive engineered for high-flowable Aluform (MIVAN) concrete.

SPEED ALUMIXX is specially formulated for Aluform (MIVAN) concrete to improve hydration kinetics and enhance strength development.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW

A concrete additive that controls the heat of hydration process of Self Dynamic Concrete (SDC) and normal pumpable concrete. The supplied product document positions it for high-flowable concrete used with Aluform (MIVAN) technology.

CORE BENEFITS

  • Controls heat of hydration and pH level of the concrete matrix during green stage.
  • Helps control lateral formwork pressure.
  • Concrete exhibits insulating properties.
  • Reduces the risk of reinforcement corrosion.
  • Improves flexural strength of concrete.
  • Helps prevent slurry leakage / seepage by mitigating potential shrinkage cracks.
  • Requires only 3 days of curing, irrespective of whether OPC, PPC or PSC (blended) cement is used as the main binder, as stated in the supplied product document.

WHY ALUMIXX IN ALUFORM CONCRETE?

  • Hydration control during the green stage
  • Lower lateral formwork pressure
  • Cohesive concrete matrix
  • Reduced segregation, bleeding and laitance
  • Mitigation of potential shrinkage-crack-related slurry leakage / seepage
  • Improved flexural strength
  • Insulating properties of the concrete

COHESIVE MATRIX

The supplied product sheet states that using ALUMIXX makes the entire matrix cohesive and avoids segregation / bleeding / laitance. Its accompanying illustration contrasts compact paste/mortar around aggregate with a condition involving excess paste/mortar.

TECHNICAL POSITIONING

ALUMIXX is presented as a concrete additive for controlling hydration behaviour and supporting concrete performance in Aluform (MIVAN) applications.
